5 Ways to Wear Denim this Fall/ Winter 2018

Do you remember the last time that denim went out of style? yeah, I do not remember either. However, every season, we see designers bringing in new cuts and colors as well as new ways to style such a classic piece. 

This fall 2018, denim makes a special appearance with the revival of the western trend featured in Philosophy, Chloé and Isabel Marant. While other designers prefer to focus on a more modern styling of the denim jacket.

If you want to wear denim in 2018, here are some tips for you: 

1. Add a belt to an oversized denim jacket
A different way to style your oversize denim jacket for the winter. If the denim is blue, add a light brown belt. If it is dark, add a black one.

2. Long dresses and jumpsuits

This is a great way to wear denim from head to toes without going for the "Canadian tuxedo" look. When it gets colder outside, wear a jumpsuit with a turtleneck peeking. Don't forget the belt here either!

3. Patchwork

Try it if you are into mixing different shades of denim.

4. Style denim with sequins, fur or lace

If you want to elevate your look for a night out —even for day— style denim with any of these.

5. Layering denim

Wear a denim jacket as another layering piece for the winter and add it a coat blazer. It looks especially good when you wear it with formal-wear like shirts and blazers to tone it down.

¿Recuerdas la última vez en la que el denim no estuviera de moda? Si, yo tampoco lo recuerdo... Sin embargo, cada temporada, vemos las nuevas propuestas de diseñadores y el denim siempre cambia en el corte y los colores, como también en la forma de llevarlo. 

Este otoño/ invierno, la tela vaquera hace una aparición especial en las colecciones de muchos diseñadores que han apostado por la tendencia western como Philosophy, Chloé e Isabel Marant. Mientras que otros han preferido centrarse en modernizar la imagen de la clásica cazadora vaquera.

Si quereis llevar denim en el 2018, aqui van unos trucos para volver a llevar tus prendas vaqueras: 

1. Ponte un cinturón con una cazadora vaquera oversize
Una forma diferente de llevar una cazadora oversize es con un citurón. Si el denim es azul, combinalo con un cinturón marrón claro. Si es más oscuro, con uno negro.

2. Vestidos largos y monos
Esta es una buena forma de llevar denim de pies a cabeza sin tener que recurrir con la clásica combinación de chaqueta y pantalón vaquero. Cuando haga más frío, siempre puedes llevar por dentro una camiseta de cuello alto asomandose. Aqui también le puedes añadir un cinturón!

3. Patchwork.
Pruébalo si te apetece combinar diferentes tonos de denim,

4. Combina denim con lentejuelas, piel o encaje.
Si quieres elevar tu look para una noche de fiesta —¡o incluso para el día!— combinalo con cualquiera de estos materiales.

5. Añade una capa de denim.
En los meses de más frío, lleva una cazadora vaquera y añadele un abrigo oversize para crear capas con diferentes texturas. Queda especialmente bien con prendas mas formales como una camisa y una blazer o un abrigo tipo blazer para darle un toque desenfadado al look.
