SUMMER TREND | 3 outfits wearing biker shorts

After years of wearing leggings as pants and opening a debate around the world, here comes her sister to open it again: BIKER SHORTS. They are the evolution of the long-loved leggings but these are your summer-friendly version.

Celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Bella Hadid, Hailey Baldwin, Kendall Jenner, Emily Ratajkowski and more have worn them in their street styles. I personally love Bella Hadid's look with a checked blazer, a beret and the trendy tiny sunglasses, a very unexpected and edgy way to wear such a sporty piece. You can also try a co-ord and wear a matching blazer with the pants like Damaris Lewis. I find it very creative when you discover two very different styles that can compliment each other so well!

Many retailers have different versions of the biker shorts, you can go simple and chic with classic black shorts or go all bold and wear them in a fun animal print. Here I give you some options:

Cycling shorts are a bit tricky to style especially if you want to break away from the classic sporty look, but it's not impossible either. So that's why I decided to challenge myself with this trend and come up with some outfits that I would wear. My two rules were:

1- Not looking as if I came straight out of the gym. So no too sporty.

2- Playing with what I already had in my wardrobe. Shopping was not allowed.

The sporty baker 

I wore a cute peplum white top with eyelets and styled them with a baker hat, a scarf around my neck and sandals —this is my favorite look of all!

The vacation look

Very simple and summery, I decided to style them with a white shirt and a cute bralette showing, a fedora and boat shoes. The perfect holiday look!

Summer business

I was getting tired of all the black and white and I wanted to experiment with some color as well as with blazers. This was the only summer blazer I had in my wardrobe and lucky me it couldn't be more colorful! This time I wanted to wear something tighter and shorter that's why I chose this strapless top which matched with some of the details in the blazer. As for shoes, I couldn't resist adding sneakers in one of the looks, they make everything more relaxed.

Despues de años llevando leggings y convirtiendose en un tema mundialmente discutido — ¿son realmente pantalones? —  llega otra gran tendencia del año: LOS BIKER SHORTS. Son la evolución de los largos y amados leggings pero esta su versión más veraniega.

Famosas como Kim Kardashian, Bella Hadid, Hailey Baldwin, Kendall Jenner y Emily Ratajkowski entre muchas otras, los han llevado en sus street styles. A mi personalmente me encanta la versión de Bella Hadid con la blazer de cuadros, la boina y las diminutas gafas que estan tan de moda, una forma inesperada y arriesgada de llevar una prenda tan deportiva. También puedes probar llevandolos con una chaqueta a juego y recreando un dos-piezas como Damaris Lewis. Lo encuentro super creativo cuando descubres que dos estilos tan diferentes se pueden llevar tan bien y crean algo nuevo.
Muchas tiendas tienen ya diferentes versiones de los biker shorts, puedes llevar la versión más simple y chic en negro o en cualquier color liso o darlo todo con un estampado animal. Aqui os doy algunas opciones:

Los pantalones de ciclista son algo complicados de llevar especialmente si quieres alejarte del clásico look deportivo, ¡pero no es imposible! Por esta razón, he decidido demostar que esta prenda tiene muchas posibilidades para llevarla en tu día a día. Mis dos condiciones durante este reto han sido:
1- Que no parezca que haya salido del gimnasio. Que no sea un look muy sport.
2- Utilizar lo que ya tengo en mi armario sin necesidad de comprar más prendas.

Marinero Sport
Para el primer look he decidido llevar un top blanco peplum con ojales y combinado con una gorra estilo marinero y un pañuelo al cuello. Y de zapatos unas sandalias, convirtiendose en mi look favorito de todos.

¡Vámonos de vacaciones!
Simple y muy veraniego, he combinado los shorts con una camisa oversize blanca y un top de encaje asomandose. Completando el look con un sombrero y unos nauticos y ya es perfecto para unas vacaciones en la playita.

Summer Business
Ya me estaba cansando de tanto blanco y negro y quería experimentar con algo de color y también con alguna blazer. Esta es la única blazer que tengo asi veraniega y ¡no puede ser más colorida! Esta vez quería llevar algo más ajustado en la parte de arriba y más corto, por eso escogí este top tipo bandeau en azul que combinaba con los detalles de la chaqueta en azul. Y de zapatos, no me he podido resistir en añadir unas deportivas, hacen que el look sea más relajado.
