Alexandre Vauthier's collection was based on assymetrical skirts and night appropriate colors. My favorites involve sequins and rhinestones, however, that leather varsity jacket is something that I would also have my eye on.
Sequins, leather and sheer materials are noticed in Versace's collection. My favorites, again, are very sparkly mixed with see-through clothing.
Bouchra Jarrar's was all about structured jackets and vests with gold and silver hardware and also belts with hanging chains. The flowy dresses were my favorite part, they look so delicate.
Chanel, loyal to its famous tweed, reinvented the material creating a fun and cute cowboy inspired hat. All the dresses were full of different textures and patterns and of course sequins and tulle.
The leopard print was all over Jean Paul Gaultier's runway. You can see it in the jackets, dresses, tights, hats and hair! This collection reminded me of a circus with the crazy shapes and fun colors. I really liked it.
At Maison Martin Margiela's runway all the models had their faces covered with bejewelled masks which I think they are crazy and cool at the same time. They are made of a sheer material that allows them to see, although they are covered with flowers and rhinestones everywhere.
The prints are a work of art but my favorite as you can see, is the coat with the beautiful flowers on the bottom. Isn't it wonderful?
Schiaparelli's collection reminded me of the Spanish bullfighters and I think it's because of the beautiful embroidery on that red top and the fuchsia clothing around the waist of the mannequin.
The hairy and sequined shoes are just amazing.
Viktor & Rolf's was all about black. So we have to pay attention to the shapes and cuts of the dresses. The old Balenciaga designs came to my mind when I saw this collection, it mainly plays with the volume and the crazy shapes.
It was hard to decide which runway shoots I liked the most because Haute Couture shows are always breath-taking and all the looks are wearable (sometimes!) pieces of art.
Blog Hop: Townhouse Palette is hosting a blog hop every Saturday! They are social gatherings through the Internet where you can meet other fashion and beauty bloggers. I think this could be fun!
